Laboratory Profile 

The Analytical Chemistry Laboratory is an academic facility, supporting several academic activities, including learning, research, and the development of qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis methods. This laboratory focuses on the identification, separation, and determination of the concentration of substances in various samples using both classical and instrumental methods. The Analytical Chemistry Laboratory plays a role to train students skills with analytical skills, involcing precise, accurate, and meet scientific standards.

Function

  1. Education Field 

    To conduct  Basic Analytical and Instrumental Chemistry lab-work to strengthen understanding of qualitative and quantitative analysis concepts.
  2. Anlytical Skills Development
    To train students in analytical techniques such as titration, gravimetry, spectrophotometry, as well as separation techniques and processing of analytical data.

  3. Research Field 
    to facillliate lecturers and students research in the development of analytical methods, data validation, and analysis of samples sourced from environment, food, and pharmacy

  4. Academic Services 
    To provide analytical instruments for supporting thesis research based on quantitative analysis and sample characterization.

Scope of Activities 

  • Ions quantitative analysis 

  • Titration: acid-base, redox, complexsometry, and solidification

  • Gravimetry analyis 

  • Validation of analytical analysis (accuration, precision, linearity, and limit detection)

  • Interpretaion of analytical data 

Facilities

There are several facilities:

  • Spektrofotometer UV-Vis

  • Drying oven 

  • Analytical glassware 

Safety 

This laboratory conducts Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) principles and chemical waste management procedures. Furthermore, analytical activities are conducted in accordance with quality control principles to ensure data accuracy and traceability.
