ON CAMPUS TEACHING PRACTICES: INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT

Aiming to provide an overview and insight to chemistry study program students about the application of chemistry in the world of work, the teaching practitioner activities on campus this time presented Mr. Dwijono Priatmadi, S.Si. This teaching practitioner activity was attended by all students of the chemistry study program who took the Industrial Management course.

Mr. Dwijono has various experiences in carrying out industrial management. Currently he works as a practitioner at CV. Adi Kreasi Unggul, PT. Luhai Industrial, PT. King Tire Indonesia, and PT. Suryaraya Rubberindo Industries. He is a Motorcycle Tire Designer and Engineer, with 25 years of experience in Motorcycle Tire Manufacturing, including OEM Tires and Brake Tires, especially Racing Tires and Low Roll Resistance Tires. Over the years, he has experience as a compounder, materials R&D, process R&D, product R&D, Tire Performance Testing and clean production, QCC, risk management, Astra Senior Management Program, and training a talented team. As with 20 years of experience, I'm releasing the company's only invention patent that has existed for 24 years. He has made many unpatented inventions from 2000 until now. With 21 kinds of motorcycles owned by himself and a lot of self-budgeted tire research, in 2012 he found 9 level tire performance (out of 10 levels), then in 2017 he only found 10 level tire performance. He is also one of the Compound Designers who was able to design the tread compound for Low Rolling Resistance / LRR (2013) for Honda OEM LRR tires which only managed to avoid purchasing royalties from HGA.

In his presentation he motivated chemistry students to keep learning and not limit themselves to learning something new. Mr. Dwijono also said that students should be someone who adapts easily so that they can work in any industry. When later working in the industry, the orientation should be not only customer satisfaction but also customer loyalty. Production orientation is the main goal of customer needs, not just what can then be produced in the industry.
