FGD Pioneering Collaboration on Freedom to Learn - Independent Campus Curriculum

On Friday, November 6, 2020, the UNY Chemistry Undergraduate Study Program conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the Principals of SMA and SMK in DIY as well as Partner Study Program Coordinators from within YSU and outside UNY in Yogyakarta. This FGD activity aims to sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the UNY Chemistry Study Program and partners in the framework of the Free Learning - Free Campus Curriculum Collaboration Program (MBKM). The number of participants invited to the FGD activities consisted of 11 SMA/ SMK principals and 15 partner study program coordinators.

Pioneering cooperation between the UNY Chemistry Study Program and schools was carried out, among others, at SMA Al-Azhar 9 Yogyakarta, SMA Negeri 9 Yogyakarta, SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, SMA Negeri 6 Yogyakarta, SMA Negeri 1 Yogyakarta, SMA Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, SMK-SMTI Yogyakarta, SMK Indonesian Pharmacy, etc. The forms of activities or activities contained in the MoA between the chemistry study program and partner schools are in the form of internships which include assisting learning activities, developing extracurricular scientific works of youth, guiding chemistry olympiads, and other activities in accordance with the scientific field of chemistry for a period of 6 months for develop scientific insight and professional attitude of students.

On the other hand, the form of collaborative activities between the UNY Chemistry Study Program and Partner Study Programs is carried out in the form of lecture activities both theory and practice as well as research activities for students as well as collaborative research and publication for lecturers with a duration of at least 6 months. Pioneering cooperation with study programs is carried out with internal study programs of YSU which include chemistry, physics, biology, mechanical engineering, etc. The study programs that are outside UNY consist of UII chemistry study program, UPN chemical engineering, USD pharmacy, etc. Through this pioneering collaboration, it is hoped that it can improve the quality of lecturers and students who graduate from the UNY chemistry study program.
