Guest Lecture by Practitioners of the Research and Standardization Center of the Ministry of Industry

ISO 17025: 2017 is a standard set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) which regulates the quality management system of testing and calibration laboratories. There are 8 clauses on ISO covering the scope, normative references, terms and definitions, general requirements, structural requirements, resource requirements, process requirements, and management system requirements. The presentation of the material ISO 17025: 2017 was delivered by Zuhrawaty, S.Si., MT from the Research and Standardization Center of the Ministry of Industry at a general lecture on Industrial Management in the Chemical Study Program, UNY Friday, March 19, 2021.

As PTN graduates who have good career path expectations in an industry or laboratory in an institution, UNY Chemistry Study Program students should have added value in the form of related ISO mastery certification, continued Zuhrawaty. ISO mastery certificate was obtained through ISO training held by several agencies in the Ministry of Industry and received official recognition from KAN. The participants in the public lecture, totaling 141 students, welcomed the information and enthusiastically asked about aspects of ISO management.
