PPM Grant Recipients Seminar on Application of Research Results

Community Service (PPM) Application of Research Results is one of the activities from the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) grant for Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA, UNY. This activity is a form of optimizing the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education (PT) so that it must be pursued synergistically through various activities that are planned and implemented systematically and sustainably. These activities are intended to improve the quality of education in universities, which in turn can benefit the progress and quality of life of the community. Basically, research activities aim to develop and improve the quality of education and learning. Furthermore, the research results need to be socialized through PPM activities. Based on this, one of the activities that can be done is to carry out PPM based on research results. This PPM activity is an application of research results, the creation of innovative appropriate technology (TTG). This activity can simultaneously increase the productivity of lecturers to produce research works that are worthy of PPM and PPM results that are beneficial for scientific progress.

Lecturers who are in the Department of Chemistry Education collaborate with each other to compete in order to get the opportunity to obtain the PPM grant for the Application of the Research Results. As a result, there were 8 groups that passed the selection process, namely the group with the leader of the service team: (1) Susila Kristenngrum, M.Sc., (2) Prof. Dr. Sri Atun, (3) Sulistyani, M.Sc., (4) Dr. Chyorini Kusumawardhani, (5) Prof. Dr. Sri Handayani, (6) Prof. Dr. Suyanta, (7) Dewi Yuanita Lestari, M.Sc., and (8) Isti Yunita, Ph.D. As a continuation and to maintain the quality of PPM, on Monday, August 15, 2021, the grant winners were invited to conduct a seminar on PPM proposals. The seminar was opened by the chairman of the session who also doubles as the Coordinator of the Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA, UNY, namely Dr. Retno Arianingrum. Each head of the service from the grant-winning group made a brief presentation related to the PPM proposal that had been prepared and then continued with the process of providing constructive suggestions and inputs carried out by Regina Tutik Padmaningrum, M.Sc. as a reviewer. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can encourage lecturers of Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA UNY to conduct proper research in PPM right and can contribute to the achievement of the Main Performance Indicators of Higher Education, especially those related to the number of PPM Applications of Research Results.
