PREPARATION FOR COOPERATION OF CHEMISTRY STUDY PROGRAM UNY - UNDIP IN THE INDEPENDENT CAMPUS COMPETITION PROGRAM

On Friday, August 13, 2021, the Chemistry Study Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNY initiated a collaboration with the Chemistry Study Program of the Diponegoro University (UNDIP). The activity was carried out online through Zoom Meeting and was attended by Dr. Retno Arianingrum and Prof. Dr. Sri Handayani as a representative of the Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA UNY. The representatives from UNDIP were attended by the Coordinator of the Chemistry Study Program (Dr. Retno Ariadi Lusiana), the secretary of the study program (Adi Darmawan, Ph.D.) and all the heads of the chemical laboratories in the UNDIP chemical study program.

At the initiation of the collaboration, they discussed the offer of courses for twin lectures from UNDIP including Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Geochemistry, Catalyst Chemistry, and Enzymology. Based on the agreement, the courses that will be conducted by the twin lectures are Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Geochemistry, Enzymeology, Analysis of Industrial Materials, and Catalyst Chemistry. Regarding the lecture mechanism, lecturers can act as guest lecturers or students of UNY and UNDIP can also be combined. The twin lecture plan is carried out for at least two meetings and will subsequently be agreed upon by the instructors.

In addition to the twin lecturer program, the UNY-UNDIP chemistry study program will also cooperate in a credit transfer program which is a student exchange program. Therefore, each study program must first socialize to students. The conditions for credit transfer are the same number of credits, the same CPMK, and a minimum of 5 students. Through this collaboration initiation activity between UNY-UNDIP chemistry study programs, it is hoped that it can contribute to improving the quality of learning in each study program.
