Seminar on Innovative Learning Grant Awardee of the Independent Campus Competition Program

The Innovative Learning Grant (ILG) is one of the activities of the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) grant for the Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA, UNY. The ILG research grant is one of the efforts to improve the quality of education through the implementation of a collaborative and participatory classroom-based learning model. Therefore, to realize this goal, the chemistry study program through an independent campus competition grant offers the ILG program to encourage lecturers to experiment with learning through two types of research schemes, namely the case study method scheme and the team-based project scheme. Lecturers who are in the Department of Chemistry Education collaborate with each other to compete for the opportunity to obtain the ILG grant. As a result, there were 4 groups that passed the selection process, namely the group with the head of the research team: (1) Prof. Dr. Nurfina Aznam, (2) Prof. Dr. Suyanta, (3) Dr. Retno Arianingrum, and (4) Dr. Chyorini Kusumawardhani.

As a continuation and to maintain the quality of research, on Friday, August 13, 2021, the grant winners are invited to conduct a seminar on proposals and research instruments. The seminar was opened by the chairman of the session who also doubles as the Coordinator of the Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA, UNY, namely Dr. Retno Arianingrum. Each lead researcher from the grant-winning group made a brief presentation related to the proposals and research instruments that had been prepared and then continued with the process of providing constructive suggestions and inputs carried out by Dr. Antuni Wiyarsi, M.Sc. as a reviewer. Through this activity, it is expected to improve the quality of research that has been planned by each team and can contribute to the achievement of the Main Higher Education Performance Indicators, especially those related to the amount of collaborative and participatory learning.
