Undergraduate Thesis Proposal Seminar of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Students

The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry study programme, FMIPA, UNY held a student thesis proposal seminar for fourth year students on Friday, December 11, 2020. The proposal seminar was conducted online through a zoom cloud meeting. The seminar was opened by the coordinator of the programme who is also the chairman of the chemistry education department , FMIPA, UNY, namely Dr. Retno Arianingrum. After the event was opened, it was continued with presentations by students in accordance with their respective majors, namely 22 students of organic chemistry, 23 students of inorganic chemistry, 24 students of physical chemistry, 20 students of analytical chemistry, and 8 students of biochemistry. The total number of students who took part in this proposal seminar was 97 students.

This proposal seminar activity is an effort to monitor and accelerate the preparation and implementation of student theses. Each student presented a thesis proposal to 30 discussion teams that had been determined by the thesis coordinator, namely Dr. Retno Arianingrum into 5 research fields. All students were very enthusiastic in participating in this activity because they could get input for future research implementation.
