On October 3, 2020, the Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Yogyakarta State University held Webinar Series # 2 which is a series of events to commemorate the 64th Anniversary. In this webinar series # 2, the theme raised is Chemical Applications for Waste Management. The speaker who filled the webinar series # 2 is Dr. Hendra Adhi Pratama from BATAN, Serpong and Prof. Dr. Suyanta from the Department of Chemical Education, Yogyakarta State University, Yogyakarta.

Dr. Hendra Adhi Pratama is an alumni of the Chemistry Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNY, batch 1999. He continued his master's education at the Chemistry Study Program-University of Indonesia, and a doctoral program at Kyoto University-Japan. Dr. Hendra conveyed about the challenges in managing nuclear waste in Indonesia.

As for Prof. Dr. Suyanta is one of the professors in the Department of Chemistry Education, FMIPA, UNY in the field of Analytical Chemistry. He explained about the separation of metal ions in liquid waste by column filtration and electrocoagulation.

Through this webinar series # 2, it is hoped that this can add knowledge that is applicable, concrete, and comprehensive in order to prepare a superior and competitive generation.
