Sunday, April 27, 2025—The Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Yogyakarta (UNY), held a gathering and Syawalan (gathering) to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1446 H and strengthen ties. This event is an annual event for the Department of Chemistry Education. The academic community within the Department of Chemistry Education, including active lecturers, retired senior lecturers, educational staff, and student empoliants, attended and enlivened the event. The event took place at the Joglo Jamal 17 restaurant, enlivened by the performance of a local singer and a serving of traditional dishes, creating a friendly, exciting, and memorable atmosphere.

The gathering and Syawalan (gathering) for the extended family of the Department of Chemistry Education began with remarks by Dr. Dra. Retno Arianingrum, M.Si., Head of the Department. The event was further enriched by the spiritual wisdom of Syawal delivered by the ustadz. The event became even more lively with active lecturers, retired lecturers, educational staff, and also children taking part in competing for door prizes by answering questions from the MC. The event then closed with an introduction to a song by Prof. Jaslin Ikhsan. The hope after this event is that the relationship will continue to be maintained within the extended family of the Department of Chemistry Education.
